EDGE - 3D printed fixed blade utility knife

A small tool used to cut with submillimeter precision, able to be carried in a pocket without bulge and can withstand force to sink the blade into almost any material using the thumb support.

Sometimes you just need a good tool. That is precisely why I designed Edge. Its small size allows it to be used as a precision tool, for cutting with submillimeter precision, as well as to be easily carried in a pocket without bulging it out. Despite that, the handle has been thought out for some serious use - you can force the blade into almost any material by supporting the thumb on the profiled back of the handle.

With its utility design, Edge comes with multiple distinctive features that make it practical and durable.

Miniature size that does not bulge out pockets. Just 6.5 mm (quarter of an inch) in thickness.
Lanyard hole for those who wish to carry it on a lanyard around their neck or otherwise.
Gripping serrations to offset the slippery nature of printable polymers.
Grid patterns for additional grip with retained stiffness.
Bi-concave handle profile for a firm, self-stabilizing grip with just two fingers.
Extended thumb rest for that extra carving force.
Exposition of 65% of the blade (as opposed to 50% or less in most cases) for extra slicing capability
I have printed multiple pieces of that knife and I can't get enough of them. They are such practical, fun-to-use tools, and that's not by the "3D printed gimmick toy" standard. There are at least three practical ways to use the blade that I came up with, which are usually not possible with standard-issue utility knives or gimmicky artsy designs (which I do love by the way, but for other reasons).
